Thank you for visiting my blog! My focus is on animal rescue organizations to help educate the public on the important work that these groups do to help to provide a voice, care, and protection to millions of animals each year.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes from wise people on the subject:

  • When a man has pity on all living creatures then only is he noble. -Buddha (563 B.C.)
  • The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. ~ Mohandas K. Gandhi
  • Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
  • Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty. ~ Albert Einstein
  • I don’t hold animals superior or even equal to humans. The whole case for behaving decently to animals rests on the fact that we are the superior species. We are the species uniquely capable of imagination, rationality, and moral choice – and that is precisely why we are under an obligation to recognize and respect the rights of animals. ~ Brigid Brophy (British novelist, critic, & social reformer)
